Group for Anxiety in Adults

Anxiety in adults can vary in its presentation. Many adults have anxiety about their jobs and career choices, finances, health and family. When anxious feelings appear to be constant, it might be time to learn skills to help manage anxiety more effectively.
Excessive anxiety might be demonstrated by social isolation, avoidance of social activities either alone or with others, panic feelings with sporadic physical debilitation, obsessive and compulsive thoughts and behaviors. Other behaviors might include sleep and appetite disturbance, reliance on medications or substances to manage your anxiety and performance or absenteeism from work.
If you’re wondering if anxiety might be a barrier to your current level of functioning day to day, please contact Empowered Guidance to be assessed for group therapy.
